Froop was built with a belief that connecting in the real world with real people is far more valuable than connecting with thousands of virtual people online. We believe that the balance has shifted too far to the side of Online Social Media and that people need easier ways to connect in person, and live the experiences... not just share photos.
We also believe that these experiences should be simplified, private, and personalized, not only to the type of activity you want to do but to every person involved.

How It Works
Froop as a Platform uses your Mobile Number to keep track of your profile. This is a strategic choice to ensure every user is connected to a trusted source of information.
Micro-Communities
Members on Froop are organized in Micro-Communities. While you can socialize with people outside of your personal circle of friends and relatives, only the ones you choose to connect with can see your details
Contextually Private
Members can only see Froops if they have attended that Froop, which means no-one outside of the Froop has access to conversations, photos, or videos that were created for that Froop.
Custom Activity Types
Froop is working on creating custom event types that will cater to each event's unique needs. Stay tuned as we roll out new Templates making it even easier to get together.
Features
PHOTO & VIDEO SHARING
Add Videos or Photos that were taken during the Froop for everyone to enjoy. Froop filters your photo library automatically making is super easy to add during or after the Froop has ended.
CREATE FROOPS FOR THE FUTURE OR THE PAST
Froop isn't just for things you want to do in the future. You can create Froops for events in the past. Want to pull together all the videos and photos from last year's Birthday Party? No problem, invite those who attended and share away.
CREATE CUSTOM TEMPLATES
Froop has lots of existing types that can be leveraged to customize your Froops. Once you have created a Froop you can save that Froop for quick access. This works great for events that repeat often.
PRIVATE AND SECURE
Froop is a closed circle social environment. Only the people who attend a Froop can see that Froop or any of the information provided in the Froop.
SCHEDULING
Pick a Location, Date, and Time for your Froop to Start. Then set the Duration, and let Froop do all the work making sure everyone is informed.
INVITATIONS
Invite anyone in your Friend list to join you in your Froop. Adding friends is as simple as using their mobile phone number.
Use Invite Links for people outside your friend list.
MAPS AND DIRECTIONS
Maps provide the Froop's Host and Guests up to the minute information while a Froop is active.
CUSTOM FROOP TYPES
Every event or activity is different. Selecting the right Froop Type could unlock custom features that make that type of Froop easier to manage.
